James Redbourn, Viscount of Crofton, enjoys all the pleasures King Charles II’s Restoration court affords him. His encounter with the enigmatic Chivalrous Highwayman in Epping Forest, sets the court aflame. Tales of the charming rogue treating his latest victim with his usual gentle hand has ladies’ fans quivering with every whisper.

While the Chivalrous Highwayman is a delicious fantasy, it is the intriguing Adam Dowson, the son of one of the greatest Cavalier generals, who is firing James’s daytime desires. Their friendship might be growing stronger, but Adam seems to be one of the few men who is impervious to James’s charms, no matter how hard James tries.

When James’s father become deathly ill, James races home. He is ill-prepared to become the 4th Earl of Crofton, and his father’s vague but dire warnings on his deathbed only make matters worse. Now the earl, James must discover what is happening at Crofton Hall that had troubled his father so deeply.

James turns to Adam for help. Despite Adam’s own secrets, James trusts him. James hopes he’s not making a mistake, risking his family estate, and his already bruised heart. Together, they need to work to clear out the rotten core at Crofton Hall, and along the way secure a happy future for them both.

A sneaky snippet of what’s in store…

Marchent didn’t appear to have any concerns about James not being there to greet him, not when a beautiful young woman was keeping him company. She wasn’t the same lady James had seen Marchent with before his recent visit to Crofton Hall. She kissed Marchent on his cheek and hurried away. Marchent wasn’t a small man, and seeing him give her a little wave as she departed made James snigger.

“Good afternoon, Your Grace. I see you are continuing your quest to make sure every lady in the land is suitably cared for.”

“Ah, Crofton. I heard you were accosted by the Chivalrous Highwayman. Did you finally meet someone who did not fall for your charms?”

“You are merely jealous that I warranted the attention of the man the whole country is talking about.”

Marchent slapped him warmly on the back. “I hate to tell you this, my friend, but I believe his interest was for your coin purse.”

“If that helps you sleep at night, then please continue to think so. But we should hurry, if we are not to miss the start of the play.”

Meet Rebecca
REBECCA COHEN spends her days dreaming of a living in a Tudor manor house, or a Georgian mansion. Alas, the closest she comes to this is through her characters in her historical romance novels. She also dreams of intergalactic adventures and fantasy realms, but because she’s not yet got her space or dimensional travel plans finalised, she lives happily in leafy Hertfordshire, England, with her husband and young son. She can often be found with a pen in one hand and sloe gin with lemon tonic in the other.

No one gets to live your life but you.

Out now at Amazon and on Kindle Unlimited!

You can find No Sacrifice here.   About No Sacrifice: Patrick has taken his acting talents from high school all the way to a role in a major television show. But as the show progresses, his life of absolute certainties crumbles when he finds himself reacting to the kisses of his male costar. He refuses to accept it, reminding himself he’s happily married to a woman and has a sweet son, Avery. So, straight. Right? One night he goes to drink his worries away and meets the gorgeous Chance Dillon. After too many drinks, Patrick spills his problems to Chance, who helps him realize he’s probably bisexual, and the new understanding helps him sleep better. It turns out Chance is a sound technician on the same set, and the two become fast friends. Their friendship grows, Patrick’s marriage ends, and he returns from his family’s home in Hawai’i with Avery who captures Chance’s heart. Patrick and Chance’s romance blossoms, giving both dreams of a life together as a family of three. When Patrick is outed by the press to his unaccepting mother, he pushes Chance away to spare him the mess Patrick's life has become. By the time he realizes his mistake, it may be too late.   About the author: noh8Grace Duncan grew up with a wild imagination. She told stories from an early age – many of which got her into trouble. Eventually, she learned to channel that imagination into less troublesome areas, including fanfiction, which is what has led her to writing male/male erotica. As someone who loves to travel and see new places, Grace has lived all over the United States. She has currently set up camp in East Texas with her husband and children - both the human and furry kind. As one of those rare creatures who loves research, Grace can get lost for hours on the internet, reading up on any number of strange and different topics. She can also be found writing fanfiction, reading fantasy, crime, suspense, romance and other erotica or even dabbling in art. Website ◊ Facebook ◊ Twitter ◊ Youtube ◊ Goodreads

Rainbow Snippets April 4-5

It's weekend, and time for more Rainbow Snippets. The Rainbow Snippets group on Facebook asks its members to share six sentence snippets from their work each weekend. Check out the group's Facebook page to read all the snippets and add lots of great books to your TBR. You'll find all sorts of books with the common thread that the main character identifies as LGBTQ+

I'm picking up this week where I left off in my last snippet from The Prince's Consort. Here's Philip beginning to put Amory's father in his place.
Picture

He turned the full force of his most regal stare on Arnau and waited. Waited.
There. The first hints of uncertainty in that insufferable expression. Just because he found out somehow Philip preferred to spend his time with men, and presumably Amory did as well, didn’t mean his little plan should succeed.

“I think whether Master Amory and I would like to further our acquaintance is not solely a question for me, but for Master Amory as well,” he said after a pause he judged long enough.

“He does, of course,” Arnau said. “He would be honored to further an acquaintance with you, Your Highness, and do anything you wish for him to do.”

Philip fought to keep his voice even. “I would much rather hear from Master Amory.”

Arnau none-too-gently nudged his younger son, who remained frozen at his side. “Tell the prince, Amory. Now.”

“No,” Philip interrupted. “I will speak with Master Amory alone.”

You can find more about The Prince's Consort here. Also, Ninestar Press has extended their sale, so you can still get The Prince's Consort (and all of my other books!) 40% off for a while longer. Take care of yourselves. Stay safe and well.
