The Rainbow Snippets group on Facebook asks its members to share six sentence snippets from their work each weekend (I'll beg forgiveness in advance for sometimes going over the sentence limit!). Check out the group's Facebook page to read all the snippets and add lots of great books to your TBR. You'll find all sorts of books with the common thread that the main character identifies as LGBTQ.
To Know a Dragon Spy is out in the world now! Yay! This second book in the Dragons of Ivria series is a slow burn, enemies-to-lovers-ish romance that ties up some loose ends from the first books (and creates a couple more for book 3...). I've been sharing some snippets from Dragon Spy, and this one picks up right after last week's.
Another survey of the room showed him his guards ranged around the perimeter, alert and ready, a strong presence in the hope of deterring anyone who might try something. Lysander couldn’t imagine the illusive conspirators would move in such a public way after skulking and working in the shadows for so long. They weren’t even certain who was left—Remment, who had escaped when they’d apprehended his father, Jannick, certainly, but was there anyone else? Difficult to believe Remment had remained free for so long without help, so someone else was likely left. Alan agreed with that reasoning; he was less convinced they wouldn’t attempt anything during the wedding festivities.
His gaze alighted on Prince Felix in the crowd below. Alan frowned as he studied the other man.
