We're getting so close to release day for A Harmony of Fire and Earth! It will be out on March 11th from NineStar Press. Harmony is Elemental Magicae book 2 and the sequel to A Dance of Water and Air. Dance was the story of two princes as they fell in love (even when they shouldn't have) and tried to save they're kingdoms. Harmony finds them getting married and still looking for a way to ensure the safety of their home. To that end, they need wielders of each Element to work together in magic no one has ever performed. And the Earth and Fire wielders, Rhys and Gaz, will have a romance of their own. Dance and Harmony have main characters who are demisexual, bisexual, trans, and gay. I've been sharing snippets for the last couple of weeks about Gaz and Rhys. I thought I would give you a glimpse of Arden on his wedding day. He's having a conversation with his friend Larkin (she speaks first).
“Are you happy?”
Arden stared at her for a moment.
Her smile gentled a little more. “I think you are. You look as if you are. You schemed your way into this marriage as a way to salvage an alliance between Aither and Thalassa and prevent a war or two—”
“And to be with Edmund,” he said firmly. The rest should have been the most important part. He was a prince, and his whole life had revolved around the good of his country, but in this, everything was secondary to finding a way to be with Edmund.
“Good. I wanted to make sure you remembered that.” She took one of his hands. “I know you’ll always do your duty, but you deserve happiness. Edmund too. He might just deserve you.”
Arden laughed. “He does, and I deserve him. It’s an excellent match.”
“There’s my Arden."
