In no order whatsoever, here are some books that I enjoyed this last month:
Rock N Soul by Lauren Sattersby - Ghost of a rock star haunts the bellboy who found his body. It's funny and kind of sweet too.
Waiting for the Flood by Alexis Hall - A quiet, contemplative story about endings and new beginnings. Just lovely.
Candy Land by Lissa Kasey - Last book in the Hidden Gems trilogy. It's paranormal and post-apocolyptic, and post-apocalyptic isn't usually my thing, but I really enjoyed the story and the characters. You need to start with the first book, Hidden Gem, if you want to understand what's going on but all three books are wonderful.
The Obsession by Nora Roberts - I really enjoyed this latest romantic suspense novel. The characters were great and the plot sucked me in.
Jury of One by Charlie Cochrane - The second mystery in this series about a policeman and a teacher in a village in England. You probably don't have to read them in order, but they're both really good so you might as well.
A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn - The first in a new series. It took me a little while to warm up to Veronica and Stoker, but once I did I really enjoyed this Victorian mystery.
Between a Rock and a Hard Place by Amy Jo Cousins - Two novellas that are part of the Bend or Break series. When I first met Austin and Vinnie in Level Hands, I thought they would end up together, but I'm not at all unhappy to be wrong. They are just perfect with the guys they found in these stories.
Sunset Park by Santino Hassell - Second in the Five Burroughs series. I really enjoyed Ray and David's story, and I'm looking forward to the next in this series.
