Smoke & Mirrors by Charlie Cochet: This is the latest book in the THIRDS series which is a great paranormal romance series. A lot changed in this book, and I'm looking forward to what comes next for my favorite characters. These absolutely cannot be read as standalone so start at the first book, Hell & High Water, if you haven't tried these yet.
Fast Connection by Megan Erickson and Santino Hassell: I loved the first book in this series, Strong Signal, and I loved this one too. I could not imagine liking Costigan, who wasn't very likable in the first book, so much but I really fell for him in this. You can read this on its own, but really, go read Strong Signal first because they're both so good.
Save of the Game by Avon Gale: I read the first book in this series, Breakaway, a couple of months ago, and I'm just catching up on the others. They're hockey romances with great characters, and I'm enjoying them immensely. This one stands alone, but Breakaway was such a fun book too so why not start there.
For Real by Alexis Hall: I've had this on my Kindle for a long time, but I've shied away from reading it because, though I love this author's writing, I'm not into BDSM books. I finally read it, and now I'm kicking myself that I didn't read it sooner. The story was just gorgeous, and the BDSM aspect did not bother me at all. It won a RITA this year, and the award was absolutely deserved.
The Shattered Court by MJ Scott: This is the first book in a fantasy romance series, and I thought it was an intriguing beginning. Lots of magic and court intrigue and an interesting world. I'm looking forward to more, but the second book doesn't seem to be out yet. It was a RITA nominee this year.
The Chaos Station series by Jenn Burke and Kelly Jensen: More books that I've had on my Kindle for way too long! This is a really fantastic sci-fi romance series. I read the first book when it came out, but I figured out quickly that this was a series I was going to want to binge my way through so I've been buying them as they came out and waiting. Then it took me far too long to actually sit down and read them. They were so good when I finally did.
Mr. and Mr. Smith by HelenKay Dimon: Romantic suspense in which both heroes are spies and hiding that they are from each other. The tension between the characters after the reveal is incredibly well done.
